Always remain hopeful; and thankful

Hello everyone!

It has been way too long since my last post. So much has happened since August. My beloved mother-in-law passed away in September. Anyone who has ever lost a loved one knows that the process of grieving takes time. We had to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday without her, and with Christmas right around the corner, we know it won’t be easy. But God is faithful. God is with us.

We can find hope and peace in difficult times. It’s not easy, but it is possible. With God, all things are possible. (Mark 10:27) We can have joy in difficult times, also. Again… not easy, but possible.

We must believe that God loves us. He truly does. (John 3:16) No one can love us the way our Creator can. Believe that. I know that life can be difficult. It’s so easy to be consumed with doubt, fear, worry, stress, anger, and every other negative emotion that comes to mind. Do not allow yourselves to be defined by negativity. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you place your faith and hope in Christ Jesus and what he has already done for us, you will experience joy and peace.

I’ve had some difficult days, but I love the Lord. He has been with me through all of them. In 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I received a cancer diagnosis. I started a chemotherapy treatment, which consisted of a weekly injection, rather than an infusion through an I.V. After about 6 months, the treatments were bi-weekly, but remission had not been achieved. I had to undergo a stem-cell transplant. In January 2022, I had the stem-cell transplant. After 16 days in the hospital, I was able to return home. After numerous tests and screenings, I had achieved remission! PRAISE GOD!

That was definitely the darkest part of my life. No one wants to hear from the doctor that their health; their life is in danger. I was face-to-face with my own mortality, and yes… it was frightening. But I told you… God is faithful.

I know from personal experience that God is good. God can heal us and strengthen us and protect us. God loves us. He loves each and every one of us. He is our Heavenly Father. A loving parent provides for and protects His children.

We will have hard times, tests, trials, and tribulations in this life on earth. Don’t give up. Our future with the Lord is so much better than what we experience here on this earth. Don’t lose hope. No matter what the situation looks like, don’t give up. Hold onto your faith– the firm belief that better days are ahead. Hold onto the belief that although we have bad days and scary times, better days are ahead. If you believe that, you will be able to be joyful, and you will experience peace.

In closing (for now), I must add this: this blog was not created as a political sounding board. I have no political axe to grind here, but I must acknowledge the fact that I know for certain that there are people out there who have lost all hope since the presidential election. I’m here to remind you– DON’T! DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. I’m not writing this to save you from politics. I’m writing this to let everyone know that God is in control of everything, everywhere, all the time! (Romans 13:1) (Romans 8:28) (Exodus 14:14). Place your faith, trust, and hope in Him, and always be thankful.

I will sign off… for now.

God bless.
