So, I’ve been praying about something specific for awhile now; asking God to give me guidance on a particular decision that I need to make.
Here’s the background– short version: I’m thinking of taking a couple of courses to obtain a professional certification, so that I can return to the workforce, perhaps in a consulting role, rather than full-time since I am still under treatment. I have pondered this for weeks now, for a myriad of reasons.
I have been asking the Lord for wisdom, guidance, and direction. If we seek Him, he will guide our steps. (Psalms 37:23) (Proverbs 16:9) (Psalms 25:4-5) We can ask the Lord for help with anything. He loves us. He wants us to come to Him. His word says that we can come boldly to the throne of grace. (Hebrews 4:16).
What I have been asking for has been made clear: I was reminded that we must walk by faith, and not by sight, i.e., doing something (or not doing something) because of what we see right in front of us. We must exercise faith. We must exercise faith in God that if we take that step towards something, He is right there with us with gentle guidance.
If there is something that you have been pondering; wondering whether or not you should go back to school, start a business, change careers, I want to encourage you to take that leap of faith and go for it. I have decided to sign up for those courses!
Seek God, and have faith in Him. We cannot please Him without faith. (Hebrews 11:6).
God bless you all!
