Hello!
I hope this post finds you well. May God bless each of you.
Did you know that Jesus Christ loves you? Did you know that he loves all of us?
In the Bible, in the book of Galatians, chapter 2 verse 20 reads:
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by FAITH in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Let’s break it down.
First– this is the apostle Paul writing to the churches of Galatia. Paul is teaching the people about his personal experiences with Jesus. We know that Christ was crucified (literally) on the cross for the sins of the world. Paul is not referring to himself being crucified in the same manner. Rather, Paul is referring to his own changed life; his changed mind; his change of heart after he experienced an encounter with the Lord and Saviour. When we confess our sins, and when we ask the Lord to come into our lives, He changes our minds, our heart, and our spirit, making us a new creation in Him. Christ will then live in YOU.
Second– I want you to focus on the last few words of that verse; …”I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Meditate on those words. We must put our faith; our hope; and our trust in Jesus. Why? Because He loves you. He loves me. He love all of us. He gave Himself for us by dying on the cross for the sins of the entire world.
If you know the story of Paul, you already know that he was originally called ‘Saul.’ You also know that his goal was to persecute the church– relentlessly. If you want to know the details, I encourage you to start reading in the book of Acts, chapters 8 and 9. One encounter with Jesus changed Saul’s life forever. Saul became a believer in Christ, and his name was changed to Paul. Paul would go on to write a HUGE chunk of the new testament. It took only one encounter with Jesus.
One encounter with Jesus changed Paul’s entire life. Think about that.
Be blessed, everyone!
