HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello everyone, and happy new year to you all.

Let’s take a look at 2 scriptures concerning beginnings:

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) This is the word of the Lord from the book of Isaiah the prophet. God says He will do a new thing. Do not consider the old things, i.e., the old way, but embrace what is new.

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3: 13-14. This is the apostle Paul speaking in a letter to the church at Philippi.

As we enter into a new year, let’s be reminded of these two scriptures– one from the old testament, and one from the new testament. A new year is a chance at a fresh start; a new opportunity; a time to let go of the past. Embrace the new! Shake off those old habits that hold you back, and press forward! Do not bring the old habits of fear or worrying or anger or depression into your new beginning. God says that HE will do a new thing. He wants to do a new thing in all of us. Let Him work in you in this new year.

God bless!
